Overview
The SVP crew portal is a simplified interface designed for field crew members. It gives them access to their assigned jobs, time clock, photos, and schedule β without the administrative controls that managers see. Crew members log in with their own credentials at the same SVP URL.
Setting Up Crew Accounts
- Go to Employees in the SVP sidebar.
- Click Add Employee.
- Enter the crew member's name, email address, and set their role to Crew.
- Click Send Invite. The crew member will receive an email to set their password and log in.
You can also promote an existing employee to a different role (Admin, Manager, Crew) by editing their employee record and changing the Role field.
What Crew Members See
When a crew member logs in, they see the crew portal β a streamlined version of SVP with five main sections:
Today
A summary of the crew member's workday: jobs assigned for today, current clock-in status, and any notes from a manager.
Time Clock
Crew members can clock in and clock out directly from this tab. SVP records the timestamp and links it to their assigned jobs for that day. Managers can view and edit time records from the Employees section.
Jobs
A list of all jobs assigned to the crew member. Tapping a job shows the client address, job type, notes, and any special instructions. Crew members can update job status (e.g., mark as In Progress or Completed) from this view.
Photos
Crew members can take or upload photos directly tied to a specific job. Photos are visible to managers in the job record. This is useful for before/after documentation, issue reporting, or confirming completed work.
More
Access to account settings, password change, and logging out.
What Crew Members Cannot Access
Crew portal users cannot access: client financial data, estimates, billing, other employees' records, system settings, or reports. Their view is intentionally limited to their own assigned work.
