How password resets work and password requirements in SVP.

Overview

SVP uses secure password hashing for all accounts. Currently, password management is handled by your account administrator β€” there is no self-service password change or "Forgot Password" link on the login page.

Password Requirements

  • Minimum 8 characters

Choose a strong password that combines letters, numbers, and special characters.

Admin Password Reset

If a team member forgets their password, a Super Admin can generate a password reset link from the SVP Admin panel:

  1. Go to Admin β†’ Tenants
  2. Click on the tenant
  3. Go to the Users tab
  4. Click the key icon (πŸ”‘) next to the user who needs a reset
  5. A reset link is generated and displayed β€” copy it and send it to the user
  6. The user clicks the link, enters a new password, and logs in

Reset links expire after 1 hour. If the link expires, generate a new one.

Setting a Password During Signup

When you create your account during signup, you choose your own password. This is the only time you set your password directly β€” after that, resets go through your admin.

Can I Change My Own Password?

Self-service password changes are not yet available. Contact your account administrator if you need your password reset.
