Weather Check
Pressure washing in the wrong conditions damages surfaces, wastes chemicals, and creates safety hazards. The Weather Check page pulls real-time conditions at your current location and tells you whether it's safe to work β then lets you log that check directly to the job record.
Navigate to Pressure Washing β Checklists β Weather (or go directly to /pw/checklists/weather).
Location Permission
The page uses your device's GPS to determine your current location. When prompted, allow location access in your browser. Without location permission, weather data cannot be retrieved.
Reading the Conditions
Once your location is confirmed, the page displays current conditions including:
- Temperature
- Humidity
- Wind speed
- General conditions (clear, cloudy, etc.)
- Precipitation
Safety Status
Based on the fetched conditions, the page shows one of the following:
- Safe to Work (green checkmark) β conditions are within acceptable limits
- Warning (amber) β conditions are marginal; use judgment
- Unsafe (red) β conditions are outside safe working parameters
Warnings and unsafe flags are triggered automatically for conditions such as high wind, active rain, and extreme temperatures.
Logging the Check
Once you've reviewed the conditions, click Save Check to log the weather check to the job record. This creates a timestamped record of conditions at the time your crew arrived on site.
