Export Clients from ServiceM8

How to export your client list from ServiceM8 as a CSV for import into SVP.

Overview

ServiceM8 allows you to export your full client (company) list from the web dashboard. Exporting from the desktop browser gives you the most complete data.

Steps to Export

  1. Log in to ServiceM8 at app.servicem8.com on a desktop browser.
  2. Click Clients in the left sidebar.
  3. In the client list, click the Export button or icon (usually top-right of the list view).
  4. ServiceM8 will export a .csv file and download it to your computer.

Common Fields Included

  • Company / Client Name
  • First Name, Last Name (primary contact)
  • Address (Street, City, State, Postcode)
  • Phone (primary)
  • Email
  • Status (Active / Inactive)
  • Notes

Gotchas

  • ServiceM8 is popular in Australia and New Zealand β€” if your data uses postcodes instead of zip codes, SVP will still accept them in the Zip field.
  • ServiceM8 stores clients as Companies rather than individual people. If you use the Company Name as the primary identifier, make sure you also export the contact person's name for accurate matching during import.
  • The mobile app does not support export β€” use the web app on a desktop browser.
