Export Clients from The Customer Factor (TCF)

Step-by-step guide to exporting your client list from The Customer Factor for import into SVP.

Overview

The Customer Factor (TCF) allows you to export your customer list as a CSV file. This export includes names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses β€” everything you need to get your clients into SVP quickly.

Steps to Export

  1. Log in to your TCF account at thecustomerfactor.com.
  2. Click Customers in the top navigation.
  3. Click Customer List to open your full client list.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Export to CSV (or look for a download/export button in the toolbar).
  5. TCF will generate and download a .csv file to your computer.

Common Fields Included

  • First Name, Last Name
  • Company Name (if applicable)
  • Street Address, City, State, Zip
  • Phone (primary)
  • Email
  • Customer notes (may be included)

Gotchas

  • TCF may export phone numbers in varying formats (with or without dashes/parentheses). SVP handles both, but review if you see validation errors.
  • If TCF exports a single Full Name column instead of separate first/last, use SVP's column mapper to assign it to the correct field or split it in a spreadsheet first.
  • Inactive or archived customers may or may not be included depending on your filter settings in TCF β€” check your list view before exporting.

Once you have your CSV, see Importing Clients from a CSV to bring them into SVP.
